A valid measure of prejudice

FINALLY, a valid measure of prejudice. When liberal researchers want to measure the extent of prejudice in American society, they ask people if they are against affirmative action. They pose as scientists, but really they're conmen. If you want to ask somebody if they're prejudiced, ask if they're prejudiced. The researcher responds that nobody, not even a bigot, will admit it.  But we see here that 43 percent of Americans--a large number--admit to feeling at least a little prejudice toward Muslims.

It's revealing that more Americans are prejudiced against Christians than Jews. The country is more anti-Christian than anti-Jewish.

I doubt if they're actually measuring "prejudice" as much as regular old "dislike"; prejudice has been subtly redefined to encompass any negative feelings or thoughts (about certain groups), including those negative ideas which have an informed basis, not just those "formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason."

The liberal view, of course, is that "prejudice" (i.e. "ignorance") is the only possible reason that anyone could have any negative ideas about their favorite groups.

I'll bet most people polled knew a lot more about muslims than they did about Buddhists.

Which is quite Orwellian, since AA is just a cute name for racial discrimination, and therefore people who favor AA are racists.

  2. Notice the only difference between Jews and Christians is in 'a great deal'. That's probably seculars afraid of the Christian Right.

As for the Muslims, well...that's what happens when your coreligionists fly planes into buildings.
