They got it comin'

I'm fed up. For awhile there I thought that liberals had a point that it was unfair of people like Glenn Beck or even Newt Gingrich to call Obama and his buddies socialists, revolutionaries, etc. Whatever Obama's personal views, he has operated like a liberal. For someone like me who has spent his whole career surrounded by Lefties, Obama has seemed pretty conventional.

But after being reminded by recent events how liberals find ANY opportunity to brand conservatives as people who secretly want to string up blacks, liberals deserve ANYTHING and EVERYTHING they get. Using a word like racist puts Tea Partiers and Himmler into the same circle. Calling someone a racist is just as harsh as calling him a child molester or a street thug. In fact, being called a thug is not as bad because it is associated with a certain glamor. How many glamorous racists do you know?  Heck, even pedophilia has glamor--look at Hollywood's treatment of Roman Polanski.

Liberals may be morons about many things, but they understand politics. It's not a gentleman's debate; it's a gotdamn street fight. If I can get votes by accusing you of sleeping with your mother, I'll do it--so says the liberal. If I can hear imaginary voices calling me the n-word as I head to the Capitol building, I'll accuse you of it. Just listen to Shirley Sherrod. According to this angelic media martyr, racism is worse now than in the past. That means that, despite appearances, more of us white folks are now itching to lynch somebody than in 1950.

I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep if liberals are sometimes called communists or fascists or totalitarians or potheads or degenerates or mentally ill or subversives or traitors or cowards or civilization destroyers. In fact, I'll join in if the accusation seems to have traction because a punch in the nose deserves a punch in the eye.

  1. This is one reason why the political class is, as a rule, so slimy. The weeding out process is nearly Darwinian. People with any inborn or inculcated aversion to lying, slandering, manipulating, and fear-mongering fall by the wayside. The people who are really successful aren't really the one's who learn to tolerate it; there the one's who were born with a taste for it.

One blogger claims that Leon Trotsky invented the word, "racsim", to use as a truncheon against the West (Im assuming he meant it in a "Culture of Critique" kinda-way.)

We have over-reached in defining the word, "racism". Racism, real racism, would be a man gathering up buddies to go out and beat up Asians because he just didn't like their looks or manners. Not voting for an appropriations bill that increases taxes on group A, so much more money can be spent on set-asides for group B, is NOT racism. But lefties have enlarged the definition of racism so wide that any percieved slight can be considered racism.

Ive even seen lefties accuse people in print of racism based on facial expressions, or not mingling together.

Im pretty sure we will live to see the day (in about 20 more years) when college freshman orientation classes will give homework assignments like, "you are to go on a interracial date, and write an essay on how it felt to fight against the white patriarchy by consummating that date with a kiss", etc. I have no illusions about what the left really wants for humanity, and them being totalitarians, they want it for everyone with no dissent allowed.

This is a perfect opportunity to tell people like Shirley who believe racism is worse than ever that, "Okay, guess all the money and other resources thrown at the problem just made things worse. Let's get rid of all the Great Society policies in one fell swoop and admit that the only thing that can improve the lot of anyone in this country is ambition and hard work--good, old fashioned individualism. Learn to compete or sink."

I've never read somebody say that conservatives "just won't" attack people for any reason. Any idea why John McCain didn't win in 2000? Neo-cons wanted to slime a (then-)moderate. Does no one remember McCain's black baby? Worse than just slime--race-baiting slime. Al Gore didn't do this, it was a Republican primary. Until people can admit that BOTH leftists and righties lie to get their ways in certain occasions, no considerate conversation is going to take place. I can't talk to anyone who thinks that only one group of people is guilty of one particular sin. It shows willful misunderstanding and hypocrisy.

This is why I'm a monarchist. These tactics work when people who watch "The Bachelor" and the Kardashians have a say in the political process. The average person is barely capable of running his day-to-day affairs, let alone having a well-reasoned, informed opinion about what constitutes good government or policy.

Preach it, brother! Universal franchise democracy is the disease.
