More on dislike for blacks: As a follow-up to the previous post, a reader suggested that, on average, Jews might have less warm feelings toward blacks than Christians. I looked at the GSS and found that Christians, Jews, and those with no religion all had around 88% feeling warm or neutral.

As an aside, only 2.3% of white respondents said "very cool." Even if it is an underestimate, it is hardly supportive of the view that somewhere hidden under every white-bread suburbanite lurks a Klansman waiting to get out.
