Waste of time

In the late 80s and early 90s, GSS participants were asked if they have ever served in the military. Slightly more than 20 percent of gay men (of all ages) said they had. This is a much greater estimate than we would get for young gay men now, but let's stick with it. According to CNN, only one-sixth of gay enlisted men plan to come out now that the "don't ask, don't tell" policy will be ended. So multiplying the two percentages gives us 3 percent of gay men who will ever make use of the new policy. According to research, around 3 percent of all men are gay, so if we multiply 3 percent by 3 percent, we get basically 1 out of 1,000 men who will ever be affected by the change in policy. The number would be probably be even smaller for women since there are half as many lesbians as gay men (according to the GSS, 21.6% of lesbians say they have served).

I'm pleased that the Democrats feel so good about themselves after getting the policy changed, because otherwise it kinda seems like a waste of time.

Personally, I wish lawmakers would focus on issues slightly more important; for instance, whether the hundreds of thousands of embryos and fetuses that are killed every year are immature humans or not.

Libs think themselves righteous people. What blowhards they are. What frauds. Always fretting about the "vulnerable."

Yeah, right. Late term babies aborted. Some protectors.

  2. A lot of the state religion could be swept aside by a simple analysis of the GSS:

Find the tree of questions in the GSS that best predict the answers to the remaining questions.

Its so simple and obvious when put in those terms one wonders why such a tree isn't automatically generated and packaged with the GSS results.

Oh, wait, that thing about the state religion... Duh...

Well, now today Crazy Ole Joe
Biden, Barry's mouthpiece for topics too hot for Barry, announces that just as the repeal of DADT was "inevitable," "gay marriage is inevitable."

Sure looks like Obama is intent on seeing to it Hollywood fund-raises for him as they did last time around. With DADT repeal and now his announcement that his views on gay marriage "may be evolving," we see his strategy to keep the gay lobby and Hollywood in his pocket.

Ole Joe didn't mention that 33 states recently declined to pass gay marriage laws. The strategy is to convince everyone of the inevitability of what they don't want in order to stop dissent.

I hope opponents of gay marriage remind every hetero couple and all young heteros who aren't yet married that should they wish to adopt, if gay marriage is legal, the adoption panel will be forbidden to consider that a male and female couple would offer the best situation for an infant or youngster over two male partners or two female partners.

If gay marriage comes to pass, we will be saying as a society that a mom and a dad are not the optimum parents for kids; in so doing, we will also be saying that the female role and the male role together are not of any particular value or significance as role models for kids.

Of course, all social science studies argue the opposite, but since when do politicians or judges care about that?
